Amazon considers all customers who purchase through its platform as Amazon’s customers, not yours. That means:
- You can not collect their contact information (email, phone, etc.) unless it's necessary for fulfilling the order (and even then, it’s anonymized).
- You are not allowed to market to them outside of Amazon, such as adding them to your email list or sending promotional messages, unless they’ve opted in outside of Amazon (like through your website or lead magnet).
- Sending promotional emails through Amazon’s messaging system is not allowed.
- Using order information to remarket off-platform (email, SMS, etc.) is not allowed.
- Redirecting Amazon customers to your own website with the goal of marketing is not allowed.
